Hi Redwing,
Just wanted to drop a line to say a big 'thank you' to you and your band.
We had the most amazing day, your playing and Sarah's calling contributed
towards that tremendously. I saw people up dancing that I never would have
dreamed would get on the dance floor. I think the fiddles must be
infectious!!

Sorry I was rude last night and didn't say thank you or goodbye.
But, I do want to say thank you SO much - everyone had a really lovely
time and it was extremely successful both in terms of fun had and funds
raised!

Dear Kirsten and the band,
THANK YOU so much for the gig on Friday - we all enjoyed ourselves
immensely, and our colleagues have already decided we want to do an
"Adults-only- Barn-Dance" in the not too distant future! Also, I have some
photos from the evening on my works computer, I'll send you some when I
return to work tomorrow, Thu 18/1/07. Again, big thanks for helping us
make the evening so much fun!

Dear Mike
You beat me to it. I wanted to drop you a note to thank you and the band
SO much for the gig. You are awesome. We thought people would enjoy it,
but we've been overwhelmed with our guests enthusiasm for the barn dance
-- and all the photos show what a good time people were having. The band
made our wedding exactly the type of event we wanted: a load of friends
having a really darn good time. Thank you. I'd be more than happy to be
a reference if ever you need one.
I would like to book you again for a work 'do' before Christmas. Do you
have any availability in early December, please? I've got to find a
village hall etc, but thought I'd check your availability first. The
evening would be all about the barn dance.

excellent Barn Dance on the evening of our wedding.
Apart from initial problems with the sound limiter, the band and caller
were superb and had all the guests joining in with smiles and laughter all
round.
Everyone commented on what a fun evening it had been and what a refreshing
change it was from the standard wedding evening fayre.

I am sorry it has taken me a while but I wanted to write to send you our
sincerest thanks for the amazing job you did at our wedding. So many of my
guests have written or called and said how much they enjoyed the music and
the reeling and what a wonderful job Sarah did at calling and getting
everyone involved. I was amazed at how many
people were up dancing their
pants off all evening, including the Swedish, French, Italians, Yanks and
Germans never mind all of the Sassenachs.
Our day was truly special and a great deal of thanks is owed to you for
helping to make it so. We wish everyone could have such wonderful
entertainers on their day and enjoy such great talent and wonderful music.
Now we just look forward to the next time we can
come and enjoy one of your

Barndance in Letchworth !!
We wanted to have an American Square Dance to
celebrate our birthdays. It was essential that it
catered for all ages ranging from 6 to 86 but we were
not quite sure where to find the people we needed. I
started by looking on the net and found Mike Redwing
and his musicians. It was so easy from there. He
found us some great musicians who with the fiddle and
the banjo created a superb atmosphere. The American
caller he found for us was first class and with her
humour and persuasiveness the dance floor was covered
from the very first moments. The dances were suitable
and good fun for all ages and even people who had said
they were not going to dance changed their minds! The
band was far more accommodating than we could have ever
hoped for, liaising with another band for use of
equipment and the whole evening flowed smoothly
without a hitch.
If you have never thought of American Square dancing
then give it a go. All ages enjoyed dressing up and the
music was certainly a key factor in creating a fun
atmosphere. E mail Mike if you want stress-free
organisation and superb music.

Thankyou so much for making our wedding party such fun. Everybody who was
there had a brilliant time and we have some wonderful memories.
The caller was superb... Getting lots of our guests involved (including
some that we never thought we would see dancing!). We had so many comments
from our guests saying how much they enjoyed the evening. We particularly
enjoyed the music that was played between the dancing as this kept the
atmosphere alive whilst we grabbed a drink and prepared for the next dance
!
We would highly reccomend you and your band to anybody. Our aim for the
evening was to have a fun party which everybody could join in. The
excellent music and 'calling' that yourself and the rest of Redwing
performed meant that the evening was much more successful than we could
ever have imagined.

Hi Mike,
Just a line to say a big thank you from the Thames Valley Vultures for
your excellent performance at our ‘Carrion Camping’ Rally.
It was a huge departure for us in breaking away from the usual heavy rock
bands expected at Motorcycle Rally’s. We were very concerned that we
could end up with egg on our faces. Having seen you perform previously,
there was never any doubt about the musicianship of Redwing, it was just
whether or not 460 roughty toughty greasy bikers could be persuaded to let
their hair down and enjoy themselves. We needn’t have worried…. You were
superb and we have been inundated with phone calls, emails and texts
thanking us for a brilliant weekend. You played no small part in making it
the phenomenal success it was.
Thank you so much, you were brilliant and we would have no hesitation in
recommending you to anyone organising an event!

Dear Derek and Pamela,
I am writing to say thank you for Organising the barn-dance at our wedding reception on Saturday 26th July 2003.
The band were Redwing and the Caller was Dave East and they were both fantastic. I know Dave was a little worried in the run-up to the day as he and Redwing has not had much experience together but the dance floor was packed for the entire set and friends have remarked since on how good they were.
The whole day was wonderful, for obvious reasons, but it was made much more enjoyable by Dave and Redwing so thank you, once again. If we organise any barn-dancing or line-dancing in the future, we know where to come and who to ask for,
