The Flint Hill Three
Charlie Gaisford (Banjo) and Trevor Knight (Guitar) originally met up at Seaford College school in Petworth, Sussex.
When Charlie returned home to Banstead, Surrey and Trevor to Thames Ditton, they went looking for a string bass player. They found one in Mike Hartes who also lived in Banstead.
And so started the Flint Hill Three!
The band's first gig was at the Organ Inn, Ewell (now a Jim Thompsons' Oriental Restuarant). For this gig they got the grand sum of 50p (ten shillings in real money). Other venues played were, Surbiton Assembly Rooms (Surbiton Folk Club run by Derek Sergeant) and a regular spot at the King William IV pub in Ewell Village, Surrey.

Later Mike and Charlie were introduced to Gerry Williams and Roger Churchyard by their manager, Cliff Holl...and so started the Orange Blossom Sound.

Trevor has now made it in Australia..
