Colette O'Dowd
Colette was born in Scartlagen, County
Kerry in Ireland but grew up in Dublin. She started to learn the piano
accordion at the age of five and is soaked in the tradition of Irish music.
From the famous music pubs of Dublin like 'Kitty O'Sheas' and 'The Ferryman'
to the festivals and Fleadhs of Ireland and Brittany she has played with
many of Irelands finest instrumentalists and developed her instinctive
musicality to become a truly great musician herself.
She has toured
extensively throughout Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales and Europe. Not
only is Colette a fabulous musician, she is a shining spirit with a
charismatic presence on stage and a fondness for the odd bottle of Bollinger
after the show.
